Political psychology is an interdisciplinary field at the crossroads of political science and psychology as well as history, anthropology, sociology, economics and philosophy among others. It aims to examine the psychological mechanisms behind political behaviours. The inderdisciplinary field of political psychology does not only describe what happens in the political world but explains the psychological mechanisms behind those issues.
Knowing the reasons of problems enables people to change them from the grounds. Thus via political psychology difficult topics of a wide range from voter behaviour, group dynamics, migration and integration to civil war, public trauma and genocide can be understood from their psychological roots.
